This work is mixed media made with acrylic paint and paint marker. The painting takes traditional themes from beloved children’s show Schoolhouse Rock and it’s video “I’m Just a Bill” to advocate for increased civic education, and the passing of much needed voter protection legislation, anti-corruption legislation, and climate change protections.

Artist Statement:
The artworks submitted focus on what I hope happens NEXT concerning civil action and engagement. Exploring themes from the beloved children’s show Schoolhouse Rock, I hoped to create artwork that everyone can relate to in order to further common goals for the future.
